Welcome to the NCC unit (SD/SW) of GC Bassa (Gohar) Mandi HP. The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a youth organization in India, aiming to develop character, discipline, comradeship, and leadership in young people, preparing them for service to the nation, and potentially the armed forces.
About NCC
NCC is a Tri-Services voluntary Organization comprising the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings, open to school and college students.
NCC Motto:
The NCC's motto is "Unity and Discipline".
Aims of NCC:
- Grooming the Youth: It aims to groom the youth into disciplined and patriotic citizens, fostering qualities like character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure, and selfless service.
- Leadership Development: The NCC focuses on developing leadership qualities in all walks of life, preparing young people to serve the nation, regardless of their chosen career path.
- Voluntary Basis: Participation in the NCC is voluntary, and cadets are not obligated to join the armed forces after completing their training.
- Basic Military Training: Cadets receive basic military training, including small arms training and drills, but the focus is on character development and leadership skills.
- Social Service: The NCC also emphasizes social service and community development, encouraging cadets to contribute to the betterment of society.
NCC benefits mostly those students who are likely to get jobs in Defense Field like, Police, Army etc.
